Nicaragua - July 16 - 23, 2011 - We will leave Friday the 15th of July and and return the following Saturday, late arriving right at midnight Sunday morning, just in time to recover for the rest of our "normal" week.
Team Leaders: Josh Carter and John Prock
Dates: July 16th - July 23, 2011.
Cost: $1500 (We are planning several
church-wide fundraisers to help off set some of the cost, and you are
all encouraged to do your own fundraising as well).

We
will be going to Nicaragua to help out the orphanage outside of Managua. Existence has already had the pleasure of going on a trip the the orphanage Hogar Rancho Hebron in the summer of 2009, but we just have to go back.
The trip will be divided into three target areas: Schools, Orphanage,
and Renovation. Below are descriptions of what each area involves:
Schools
We
will be working alongside the Diaz Family and all of their kids that they have taken in and protect. Pastor Nicolas, "Mama Karla," Hazel and Jossiel have asked us to work on the road and ditches that run through the middle of the property. We will also work on a Vacation Bible School for the kids of the neighborhood. We will put on a
presentation in the morning for the elementary-age kids and another in
the afternoon for the teenage students. Each presentation will consist
of some silly games, a few short skits, and a salvation message.
Orphanage
The Diaz family operate an orphanage outside of Managua. About 20 kids live at
the orphanage full-time, but another 30 or so come in and out
throughout the day. We will be doing various projects on the grounds
like repairing the playgrounds and working on the floors in the boys dormitory. More
importantly, we will be spending a lot of time playing with the kids
there and just loving on them: crafts, stories, futbol, games, etc.
We will be working on communicating with you about additional projects and adjusting to meet their needs a little closer to the dates of our visit.
